Gratitude; a three-day study guide

The one thing that seems to be defining the life of the majority of people nowadays is the lack of time. How many times have we heard “oh I did not get time to do it” as a reason for not getting something done? Way too often. But it is true, time seems to be running faster, and us, humans, run after it in hopes of not missing a precious minute that could get us to our goals, career-wise or academic-wise. Being a young adult myself, I’ve always felt like I’ve grown in-between generations. I’ve lived through the days that seemed infinite and saw them inexplicably getting shorter. And I’ve seen it from the perspective of a young person who’s confused about where her priorities should lie. Am I supposed to focus on how successful I’ll grow up to be, like the majority of youngsters around me? Or am I supposed to focus on working for the life I’ll have after death? I’ve been blessed enough, Alhamdulillah, to grow up in a household prioritizing the latter. However, this isn’t the case of everyone. And, in my case, even I get dragged into the whirlwind of being too focused on the temporary world and end up neglecting my religious duties. No one is perfect, but we pray to be guided on the Way, always.
I've had a project idea for two years, but the timing never felt right to launch it. An islamic study guide, to help the youth and elders and everyone to connect to their Deen (religion) again, in an easy and friendly way; to spread islamic knowledge through Qur'an verses and Hadiths. Too often we think we will do it tomorrow, but what tells us that tomorrow is promised? Let's learn together, grow and pray together! Grow a community so strong, based on Islam's solid grounds. Today seems to be the day for reasons unknown to my own self. But when the heart hears a call, it responds without question.
Welcome to the Islamic Study guide, brought to you by the Mindfarer! The aim is to work on short and concise study guides in various topics centered around Islamic teachings.
The first topic of study will be Gratitude. How does this work, you ask? It's quite simple.
1. Open the pdf file from the link below. You can download it or just come back here to access it whenever needed.
2. The file is already separated in three daily sessions. You can choose to do them over the course of three consecutive days, or spread it out over a week or so. Whatever works best for you!
3. The file also includes clear instructions to help you get the best out of it.
I sincerely hope this flourishes into a source of peace for at least one person out there. I truly believe that the smallest steps count as big ones on this path. Learning about our beautiful religion is one of those steps!
Join me on this beautiful journey :)
